In July 2021 despite the Covid and global restrictions in place we managed to support a group of students from Poland on their work experience in Malta.
Seventeen students of the K. Kalużewski School Complex in Zduńska Wola, who are studying in the professions of a hotel technician and nutrition and catering technician, went on a 3-weeks internship to Sliema in Malta
We welcomed thegroup at the airport and took them to the cosy comfortable self-catering apartment. Some of them featured sea views so they could enjoy the beautiful landscapes, picturesque streets of Malta, and the accommodation in a seaside resort make their internship more pleasant.
Gastronomists Interns undergo internships in restaurants and cafes working as cook assistants, waitresses, waiters, floor servants. They were preparing and decorating dishes, got to know the cuisines of other nations. Hospitality students undertook placements in hotels. Students were preparing housing units to receive guests and got to know the offer of services in hotel industry.
Participation in the project influenced the development of professional skills and made it possible to gain international experience. They improved their language skills in general life and at work placement.
